It’s hard to believe 2023 is here! I hope your holiday season was fun and festive, filled with all the things that bring you joy.
Once the calendar turns to January, we move into high gear with all the preparations for awarding our 2023 Impact Grants on March 29.
The Grants Committee is hard at work reviewing the Letters of Intent submitted by local non-profits and determining who will move forward in the process.
The Events Committee is planning every fine detail for our Grant Awards Celebration. We have an exciting new location this year – Temple Beit HaYam in Stuart. And the festivities start at 4 p.m., hopefully making it easier for our working members to attend.
The Membership Committee is in overdrive, helping to answer the question: “How much money will we have to grant?” Working with our Community Captains, they are holding lots of neighborhood gatherings in January and February as we continue the “Let’s Drive for 5” campaign.
The Membership Engagement Committee has monthly events planned, creating unique experiences geared toward members and their guests. It’s an easy way to introduce a friend to Impact100 Martin.
Each year, the number of members we have on February 28 determines how much money we will have to grant in 2023. For that reason, the “membership year” you see in your Member Portal record shows as Mar 1 – Feb 28 each year. But that does not mean you have to write a check again on March 1, 2023 to continue being a member. Your membership is good for a year from your anniversary date. We just ask that you renew each year by Feb 28.
And please check “Evergreen” when you join or renew. That way, we know you intend to stay with us for the long run. We won’t solicit you for renewal – only send you a reminder if you haven’t renewed by your anniversary. THIS YEAR ONLY, if you select Evergreen, we will put your name in a drawing for a free 2023-2024 membership. That’s a $1,100 prize some lucky member will win at the Grant Awards Celebration.
We are halfway at our membership goal for the year and can only reach the magic number with your help. If you haven’t renewed yet, please do so right away. And join us at an upcoming event and bring a friend. Because of you, we are making such a difference in the lives of our neighbors in Martin County with more than $1 million in grants awarded in our first five years. The best is yet to come in 2023!
We are halfway to our goal of reaching 500 members. Now is the time to jump in and help us get across the finish line.
If every member invites just one friend or colleague to join our group, we will reach our 500-member goal and collectively invest $500,000 in our community in 2023.
Who is your plus one?
The power of you will be unstoppable! We have a wide array of events and activities, so bringing a friend is an easy way to introduce Impact100 Martin.
Don’t forget to go green with your auto-renew Evergreen membership. Checking the box for Evergreen on your Member Profile puts you in a drawing for a free 2023/2024 membership!
If you need help logging into the Member Portal or notice something wrong with your account, please email us at neonsupport@impact100marting.org

Happy 2023! We’re starting the year with some fun-filled events for Impact100 members, so grab a friend and join us as we tour, paint, read, learn and enhance our well-being. "Let’s Drive for 5” as 500 members translates into FIVE $100,000 Impact Grants for the New Year!
We are excited to announce our 6thGrant Awards Celebrationwill be slightly different as we race to the 500 finish line. This year, for the first time, our celebration will start at 4 PM, and the new location is Temple Beit HaYam!
The 25 volunteer members of the Grants Committee are in the midst of reviewing 23 letters of intent (LOIs) submitted by Martin County nonprofits. The submissions represent an interesting mix of projects and organizations.
Committee members completed training on both the online grant software and what needs to be considered when reviewing and evaluating LOIs. The LOI training review took place in December led by Elizabeth Barbella, and Ellie Gundrania from The Community Foundation Martin-St. Lucie. To ensure the fairness of the process, each member of the Grants Committee is required to submit a conflict-of-interest form as well as a non-disclosure agreement. The committee will select our 2023 semifinalists on January 25.
