This time of the year, we talk a lot about love. And there is SO MUCH I love about being involved with Impact100 Martin! I love the energy and enthusiasm for the lasting change we are creating in Martin County. I love the creativity and dedication of our Board of Directors and their Committee members. I love the visionary non-profits who are thinking big and going bold to create programs we can support. And I love the buzz each one of you creates when you join or become a business sponsor and tell our story to a friend. Can you feel the love?
This is such an exciting time of the year as we wrap up our membership campaign on February 28, announce the magnitude of our Impact Grants and determine the finalists. We are headed into our own form of “March Madness”!
Registration is open via the Member Portal for the Grant Awards Celebration, and we hope you can join us in-person or via live stream. If you haven’t used the Member Portal yet, this newsletter contains some helpful interactive tutorials to get you started. If you need additional help, contact us at neonsupport@impact100martin.org. While you’re in the Portal registering for the Celebration or one of our other fabulous events, please take a minute to update your member profile and select “Evergreen” membership. Help us get to know you.
We are thrilled to announce our eight semi-finalists for the 2023 Impact Grants, including some names you are seeing for the first time. These organizations are preparing their full grant applications and on March 17 we will announce the finalists and provide all the information you need to prepare to vote, either in-person or via absentee ballot.
Please read the materials and watch the videos, either on your own or at one of the fun “watch parties” we are holding. Registration is open for our main watch party on March 20 at the Palm City Chamber of Commerce. Several communities will be hosting their own watch parties, so if you have a Community Captain, you will hear from her with plans for your community.
Between now and then, there are lots of great member engagement events and opportunities to “See Your Impact” in person. Bring a friend and let’s see how much love we can create - for our community and for each other.
It's that time of year when we come together to celebrate those we love and Impact100 is truly a love promise to our community! In five years, we have invested more than $1 million into our local community to create lasting change. We are women who come together and give as one.
Now is your chance to share some love. Join or renew and invite someone special to join you.
Your membership of $1,100 is due in full by February 28to enable you to vote at the Grant Awards Celebration on March 29th.
You can also show the chapter some love by designating your membership as “Evergreen”. Doing so will enter you into a drawing for a free 2023-2024 membership, announced at the Grant Awards Celebration.
P.S. Should you like to attend a community-based Meet & Mingle to learn more or share with a friend, join us on February 23 at 5:30 p.m. at Dultmeier Photography.
Registration is now open for the Grant Awards Celebration on Wednesday, March 29 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
We are excited to announce our 6th Grant Awards Celebration will be slightly different. This year, for the first time, our celebration will start at 4 p.m., and the new location is Temple Beit HaYam!
Join fellow members and guests for an early evening presentation of the programs and projects by our Impact Grant Finalists. This will be followed by a wine and light hors d’oeuvres reception. The event will culminate with the announcement of our 2023 Impact Grant recipients.
The program starts promptly at 4:00 p.m., and doors open at 3:30 p.m. Park behind the Blake Library and volunteers will direct you to the Temple.
This group will now submit full grant applications, videos, financial information, and context for the Grants committee to select the finalists.
To help you prepare to vote, you will receive a link to the grant applications and a video summary for each finalist as well as instructions for in-person or absentee voting. Check out the “Events” section for information on video watch parties!

Situational awareness is being aware of your surroundings and the activities going on around you. With more and more distractions in our everyday lives, it is important to have situational awareness. Whether you are driving down the road, at work, on vacation, or even at the mall, you need to be aware of what is happening around you. Join us as we learn to recognize the threats and hazards that exist, and how to avoid potential dangers.
BOB (Body Opponent Bag) will be available for those members interested in getting more involved with hands-on training! Personal Safety Coach & Trainer, Kevin Williams, will teach us to be proactive about personal safety: how to prevent attacks, protect ourselves and our families.
Kevin will also teach us how to navigate the web while avoiding the most common security threats: spam, scams, frauds, and identity theft. You will also gain an understanding of how to spot and avoid them for your parents, children, and grandchildren. Learn what to do if you suspect a loved one has fallen victim to online crime.
Keep yourself safe online and in your physical surroundings. Bring your friends, your Mom, your daughters, and your granddaughters to this Impactful event!
